"BAIT AND SWITCH"? Mark Miller replies to Eve

I agree that it is unfortunate that it is "only" the court system that is protecting equal rights, but the argument that this is legislating from the bench is just not accurate. This is what the court system is supposed to do--rule on the constitutionality of laws made by the
legislature. All the whining is simply due to the fact that the decision is not on the side of public opinion. But neither was Loving v. Virginia or Brown v. Board of Education. Do you really want to live in a country where all laws and decisions are based on public opinion?
