San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom's Divorce Official/SF Chronicle
March 11, 2006 "Once called San Francisco's own Camelot couple, Mayor Gavin Newsom and Kimberly Guilfoyle are now officially divorced. Retired San Francisco Superior Court Judge Donald King issued the divorce decree Feb. 28 -- 13 months after the power duo announced they were breaking up. A source familiar with the court proceedings told The Chronicle about the decree as Newsom's budding romantic interest in "CSI: Miami'' star Sofia Milos is getting attention, at least in gossip pages in newspapers and magazines across the country and local news accounts that track the mayor's comings and goings. . . .He and Guilfoyle married in a Catholic ceremony at St. Ignatius Church and were feted afterward at a high-society reception hosted by Gordon and Ann Getty, longtime friends of Newsom's father. Harper's Bazaar magazine ran a photo spread of the pair -- under the headline "The New Kennedys" -- shortly after Newsom became mayor in 2004 and called them "one of the most glamorous political unions since Jack and Jackie." Less than two years later after the wedding, Guilfoyle, who only recently dropped Newsom from her last name, landed a couple of national television gigs in New York City doing legal commentary, and the marriage became bi-coastal. She now hosts the Fox News crime show "The Lineup.. . ." |
